Quotation Costing for Projects

There are many things to consider when it comes to quotation costing: Are the basic prices of the various internal and external employees up-to-date and future-proof? Do surcharges in long-running projects take into account the price at the time of need? Does the use of machines include consumption? Are the item prices of my vendor up-to-date? In addition, the data is usually compiled from various sources in several Excel spreadsheets. In the end, a competitive sales quotation with an economic margin should be created. It is not easy to reliably keep track of this task.

Simplify your quotation costing with MARIProject

  • Automatically use current data

Thanks to the integration in SAP Business One, MARIProject supports quotation costing with reliable data. For example, current item prices or average purchase prices for items that you regularly use in projects are stored in the system. When you compile the positions, you select the price for your sales quotation from the stored prices. In this way, you prevent transfer errors from lists or other applications.

  • Store and select calculation methods

In MARIProject, you can define different calculation methods, such as the calculation according to default price list or the overhead calculation. Once set up, you select only one method for your project in the future. You then adjust the surcharges per position for this customer and immediately see your margin. Because you don’t have to jump back and forth between different spreadsheets and applications, you save time for creating sales quotations.

  • Automatically generate the electronic sales quotation document

Once you are satisfied with the calculation, you can send the sales quotation to your colleagues for approval or coordination, or you can directly generate the electronic sales quotation with a few clicks and send it as a PDF via email to your customer.

  • Use sales quotation data for detail planning

If the customer accepts the sales quotation, use the data already entered for the detail planning of your project.
